Is Christmas Evil?
When is it okay to lie? Is there such a thing as a “Little White Lie”? Is Christmas Evil? The scriptures are very clear on this topic. Proverbs 13:5 declares that a righteous man hates a lie, and that liars are wicked, loathsome, and come to shame…
- If its in the word, we must accept it.
- What is in the word we must not twist.
- We must admit that we can be wrong.
If those points are agreeable, lets continue on.
How does the bible define the word Lie?
Leviticus 19:11 “Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.”
Strongs concordance #H8266 states that the word lie comes from the hebrew word Shaqar (shä·kar’)
and means to do or deal falsely, be false, trick, cheat.
Not only is it wrong to lie, but that means it is wrong to be false or to trick, in any way…
Keeping with the points we have agreed on earlier, have I said anything misleading or twisted anything? No? Good, so we all still agree… carrying on..
Revelation 21:8 states, in no uncertain terms: But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
Wow! Very strong words are used here for ALL LIARS, it seems that they are destined to the fiery lake of burning sulfur, and rightfully so.
Do we still agree? Has anything been twisted? No?… Good, now let me ask you… and answer truthfully..
Did Santa really bring those presents to your children? Does Santa really exist? Was our saviour really born on december 25th? Or are those just FALSE things that we tell our children?
Was the Messiah really born on December 25th? Or do we just bat our eyes and say “God don’t care if we tell a little white lie” Are you sure?
Why do you celebrate Christmas? Maybe just tradition?
Mark 7:7-8 “They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’ You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”
So, let me ask you…. Is Christmas Evil?
